I could go in for 2, I have a wet saw I can use to cut them if it comes to it.

If you guys beg real hard I could probably get some time on the dicing saw at school (UCSB) which can do extremely nice cuts.

But I can't invest more than a few hundred $$$ on optics like this.

As far as cutting them, im willing to try but if they break weird it is what it is, because they are hard to put back together, im willing to do mine first for a test so lets see if more might sign up im stalling him for 2 more days to keep the quote valid. Sign up if you can, im going to try to squeeze a bit more.

So all those combiner kits need crappy mirrors??? I know mine does not, 4 people come on resell them to your other laser buddies, split a mirror, step up!

Laser (the acronym derived from Light Amplification by Stimulated Emissions of Radiation) is a spectacular manifestation of this process. It is a source which emits a kind of light of unrivaled purity and intensity not found in any of the previously known sources of radiation. - Lasers & Non-Linear Optics, B.B. Laud.

I hear ya man. I really want these mirrors for my combiner set-up. I can get 97-98% mirrors for the red for about the same price as the GB mirrors. But those mirrors don't even work at 405. I really want to build a huge 405 set-up. These mirrors could work for both. I think people are missing a huge opportunity here.

I made a mirror cutting jig this weekend. I am really confident i can cut .3 X .5 mirrors with it.

If it were summer and i had more money i would take 4 for sure.

I have emailed my contact and have asked for a reduction in the minimum number of pieces or price. I informed him we were hobbiest trying to get the best price and quality.

If I can get the price to $100.00 each does that help anybody? I bounced that price off of him and he is going to let me know tomorrow.

that would be 25.00 ea for a 1" x 1" mirror or about $7.00 for a .5 x .5" Broad band, high power, whitelight, dielectric mirror.

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

Realistically how long from the time we order until they show up at my door? Soon as the weather turns here in Indiana I will be very busy! Laser hobbying will have to wait until next winter. Depending on time I could maybe do 3 @100$.

Also, thanks for your effort on this.

my guess would be 10 days at the most, but I can verify.

I just found a deal I couldn't pass up up a wavemeter, so my laser budget has dropped a fair bit If my 2 make or break the deal I can keep them in, but if it all possible I would rather drop down to a single. The drop to $100 a piece would be stellar in any case!
