You know that the galvo sometimes have different mirror sizes ?
So that maybe we had the bigger mirror below and it's now on top ?

But if you need to re adjust the green you can.
Just loosen the top bolts. Move them up 5mm or so and then turn down the bolts on the front of the green just a couple of turns until the green beam hit the galvo correctly on the silver side. Remember we had the metal bars under the green module that your chinese friends used. So it has the correct height. So higher or lower on the front of the green doesn't matter, but keep the rear end of the green on the same height.

Still i think it's strange, but at least you are now trying yourself so that is positive !
Way to go. Goodluck, let us know how you fare.
    I didn't fail !
I just found out 10,000 ways that didn't work.

    @hobbybob:
I will try to switch the galvo's then. (need to screw off the whole galvo block, the driver is to close to the galvo mount)
If the galvo mirrors are desame lenght i need to re-adjust the green module to the right...not up/down
It doesnt matter how x and y are mounted right? They can be switched without ruining the show?
Take a look at the video i made. As you can see the green beam doesnt touch the middle of the galvo mirror.
That makes it leak light to the mirror above it..

@dnar: you know how awesome this chat log will be after im more a "expert" in things?
You can send everyone to my failures and wins on this forum, and hopefully alot of people will beging their own adventure.
I tried laserchat before for random questions but it wasnt so helpful. More like fun instead

Can't you just push in the galvo a bit more into the block ? If it is just a matter of 1 mm ?
    I didn't fail !

sorry but pt30k has twice the same mirror size..
    switching doesn't help.

i worked with this set before, it is realy good to start with, no probs whatsoever, just make sure you don't break a mirror or set it to a too large angle and/or too high scanning speed.
Stick to the limits and you will be fine.

i fixed it. the green beam shines perfectly at it now.
    how?
the galvo mount block is only mounted to the baseplate with 1 screw now. i set it really tight and it doesnt move now when pushing it a bit.
i guess thats a good temporary solution ^^
I also managed to align red and green again, it looks pretty good

next step(wich i dont need help with) is switching the cables of the galvo PSU, since the one i am using now has way to thick copper, wich can break according to the technical guy from yesterday night, and because it is not grounded.
he showed desame logo at the back of the galvo PSU, wich is also present on the AC IN. so im stripping a new cable and replacing that other cable tonight so its a bit tinner cable, and the galvo PSU will be grounded for savety.

Then, i need to align the dichro's, if i already may ask some more questions about it...
Facing the knobs outside or inside, there is room enough in the new case i have.
I'l try to put them inside if possible but i cant be sure of that.
My question is...How can i screw these tight to the baseplate? i guess i need 2 screws or is one enough?
let me quote maccarrot here who also replied about this matter:
I gave you a L bracket with the dichro mounts,

    - First you need to screw the L bracket to the dichro mounts,
    - then you can locate the best possition for the dichro mount so all the beams hit the galvo mirror in the middle without touching the metal of the dichro mount.
    - take a pen and draw the excact location od the L bracket on the baseplate.
    - Remove the L bracket from the dichromount and put it in the the same location you have drawn on the baseplate
    - in the center of the L bracket you pick a location where you will drill your hole.
    - Drill a 3,3mm hole in the baseplate.
    - tap M4 in the 3,3mm hole
    - mount the L bracket with a M4 screw
    - mount the dichro mount to the L bracket with the supplied screws.

Please take your time and carefully pick the possition of the L bracket, if you drill 10mm wrong to the side you have a problem...
i screwed the L brackets(if they are what i think(the metal thingys around the mount) to the dichro mount).
also did step two, in the image the pt-itrust creates i can see very clear yellow...
And im stuck at part 3...i tried to do this...and it kinda worked...but not completely. what if the screw is 0,5 or 1mm away from the L bracket drawed position center?
then its adjustable with the knobs? or...? i want to do this perfectly because on the end of the quote it says i have a problem when not done well...

    Thanks!

EDIT: done wiring the new cables and ground cable.
all ready for doing the dichro's tommorow

EDIT2: video - after more messing with the dichro mount with knobs facing to the inside(with turning some knobs), i got a fair result. its now almost outputting yellow. is this good enough? can i do the rest of the adjusting by the knobs?

(from galvo to wall its about 3 meter)

Video showing the dichro mount and the show without smoke:

    Thanks!
