I wouldn't turn away people that are going to pay... seems silly... and I personally don't see an issue with pointers? just don't do anything stupid with it

Thing is that I think some will, because what else will you do all the time with a pointer?
Secondly I do understand that money is needed, but still.. LPF?
We know most people on photonlexicon, but lpf nope.
What I think that people with pointers will do? shine through peoples shows when others are watching.
There was a reason for not allowing pointers on LEM's right?

afaik there has never had a "no pointers allowed" rule at any of the LEMs I have attended

Well here there was...
I do think there is a sensible reason for it....but hey I will still come over

But just a thing is that a LEM should off course cover the costs, but not aim at money making

If it only does or properly does when involving LPF, then I'm not going to complain

2 Things though, please forbid the Sith Pointers just incase.
I don't want that thing even near me

well last year I think there was some money left over and we donated it to PL... IIRC this is what we have done at every LEM

as far as the pointers, again, dont do anything stupid with them and they will stay in one piece

Sorry I already posted it before y'all replied. I got permission from buffo to do it.
but I stated that this was primarily projector event and that pointers are the main reason the regulations are getting stricter.
ill also add a warning in the thread saying that this is not a meet for pointers.

To be honest I personally don't mind pointers either.
But as long as they aren't from wicked lasers or with weird lenses and gratings.. then it's ok.
But keep in mind if someone makes a mistake with that pointer.. you can offcourse destroy the pointer.. but someones eyes will never be the same

But if you allow pointers.. PLEASE really don't allow the sith series.
