Not sure what that is but ET looks very female. Assuming the guy walking away from the truck is the driver, he seems to have little time to adapt to an impossible situation but seems to recognise what he is walking toward (the rickshaw guy), but even at the moment the 'female ET' walks by even closer, he seems to have no curiosity. Under the circumstances, that is as weird as all the stuff we're deliberately shown.

I tried looking for splices of edited video but can't see anything obvious (glitches in static stuff expected, not found). The variable closeups did seem to have a slight parallax that the original fixed camera could never have shown but that's maybe an illusion. I can't resolve it without watching it more times than I want to. Already seen it, and the second part, twice. (Part 2 is linked from the alternate videos available after the first one ends).

Anyway, if it's fake, it's a nice one. A few good things like this could be interesting. I still miss the X-Files.. Like Doctor Who, that show could be indefinitely renewable, and it should have been. There are always enough strange things in the world to keep it going.

About the first one, apparently, Dragon Totem Girl (Zhu Xian 2). Which would be why there are no glitches. The entire thing is staged, so there's no splice between fact and fiction to watch for. Pity, but for a small moment I did get that X-Files kick out of it. ARE there any shows like that these days, that can sustain that edge for years? If so, what should I look for?
