No of course not..... it was only me that would do make the switch from doing things locally to china then it doesn,t matter. But the irony is that most customers from the local metalshop if not all think the same.So if i do it so is the rest and then my neighbour will loose his job since their is nothing for him to mill anymore.Its like sheep, if one starts the rest will follow.....

I refuse to go to china just to get things cheaper, i rather support the local metalshop even if have to pay more. There are plenty of times that they helped me out for free so you get something in return for supporting them. If i have to take things to china i quit right now. It doesn,t feel right to me to do manufacturing in china even though i have more margin and profit. Bussiness can be done in many ways and i doing the honest way is one of them. Making the most profit is not my goal and it never will be. My goal is to have a small company that i can make an honest living out of it. If i make less and keep the neighbour his job then its a win-win situation.

no, I never estimated volume...I was making a small run of little mount for folks at PL which is something I thought the guys could use, apparently it is not needed so be it - if they want to whine about the price...I should start selling cheese

Having paid full price for MM1s I actually prefer Pat's mounts the third axis, not huge and quick to dial in. That is my experience, I know that I keep my small stock of them ready for my next build. My first build I made all my own l brackets as time was more available than money, I now used brackets professionally made they don't scratch the anodized breadboard... I could have used hot glue and double sided tape to get the same results temporarily, but it would have to be rebuilt scraping off the glue.

This is one of the funniest threads of all time...as soon as someone mentioned 300 evil I went to page one. I had actually forgotten he started this thread back in 2010.

I actually told JohnYayas to fuck off in post 35 of page one. It is 2014 and we are still arguing about this little fucking mount. I actually don't remember ANY of it...I had a list price of $35.00...Shit I think Ill raise it to $40.00 and keep this fucking drama going for another 4 years!

Seriously...get yourself a beer and go to page one and start reading...thats what I'm going to do.

I am actually glad to hear that people are willing to shell out that much cash for something like that because I have all the machine tools to make them myself and will begin making them and selling them on my website. Kind of funny because a thread like this is what actually got me to start Spaghetti... I got tired of people charging too much money for stuff I can build myself.
