I think i got mine in right, it would be so nice to have a non home made DAC that does not cost more then my car is worth....ok, both of my cars combined and i will throw in a few pounds of rust and parts that fell off for free

    Done too!

Someone is actually asking what people want BEFORE producing hardware? Glad I was sitting down!

Thanks a lot for the responses everyone!

Does anyone have anything against publishing the results (the respondents are anonymous of course), in case anyone else would find it interesting?

I'd be interested in seeing the results. You can already get an analog XYRGB DAC for $100 so I'm curious to see how many people want one but haven't bought one.

    Here are the results: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1OZ_.../viewanalytics

    tl;dr:
Around 75% of respondents are planning on buying a DAC
Out of those around 50% would potentially be interested in such a product, seems like around $100 would be the most effective price point
Most important gotcha was that the software support is probably more important than the DAC itself

@JohnYayas: Would that be a sound card DAC or something similar, or is there a plug-and-play solution for that price? Maybe surprisingly, the number of people preferring DIY solutions according to the survey was very low (actually 0 at the time of writing)

I am currently selling RiyaLite DACs for $100. These are 12bit XY 8bit RGB dacs.
I don't have a link set up on my website but I have plenty of them. PM or email me if interested.

Nope. RIYA Lite, as mentioned above.

I can't remember the last time anyone mentioned a sound card DAC to me. Lot's of iShow users, though.
