Excellent post Steve. Totally agree with what you have said. At the end of the day, respect costs nothing.

Everyone is of equal importance and deserving of equal respect.

If you think I like to be worshiped, I DO!

And if you worship me, I'll worship you right back.

If you come at me, thinking you are going to have a conversation with an asshole. YOU ARE!

    James.

With you.. it's eighter black or white....nothing inbetween.
Why can't you walk the fine gray line?

Steve has put it fine to words
Maybe is little over exaggerated (senior - junior..master - aprentice) but i think thats done to make things more clear.

Some of the things aply to me to... i can't deny that.
But james you seem to bing out the worst in alot of people (with your stange attitude_ above post just shows it again).

Maybe people aren't the b@st@rds some act like on internet.. but we all contact each other on this INTERNET forum so maybe some written Etiquette and rules will help this.

    Nice work steve...

    Hi Steve,

Great post, and great timing, as others have said. Also, these are the lessons in the movie Bambi that I have been talking about .

I guess not enough people have watched Bambi lately, or have overlooked or ignored the values taught in that film...

    Default Very simple solution

    Worship ME and ME only!

    Fair + Wise = Steve

    Bambi...good eatin'

    In reference to Worship me...
(Sarcasm - Sarcasm is proverbially said to be the lowest form of wit.[3] It is often associated with the use of irony. Hostile, critical comments may be expressed in an ironical way such as saying "don't work too hard" to a lazy worker. The use of irony introduces an element of humor which may make the criticism seem more polite and less aggressive but understanding the subtlety of this usage requires second-order interpretation of the speaker's intentions.)

You are absolutely correct. I do have a need to put my world into true or false. That is why I understand 1 & 0.

The unknown is not an answer. The wrong answer is false.

Yes. I do bring out the worst in a lot of people.

There are 10 types of people in the world. Those who code, and those who don't.

I know one thing for sure, we are very fortunate to have Steve Roberts and the like posting here.

For those who were not doing lasers even 7 years ago, it was very cut throat and expect to get ripped off by some of the elders in the laser business wanting to offload their junk equipment to newbies who didnt know better. Trust me, I know and it happened to me 7 years ago when I first decided to make it a business.

Getting a good answer on alt.lasers was also a task, if you did not use the correct lingo then expect to be ignored.

This forum is a god send for anyone looking to make a hobby or a business and accepts those willing to step up from the laser pointer side of things without bashing.

Respect the elders so long as it is not my Girlfriends dad as he does not deserve any respect whatsoever. And I am being dead serious about that in both parts of it.

PS: I am not an elder
