Whoo Hoo! That's the spirit! (No pun intended...)

Hey - at the very first FLEM, all I had was my now infamous "Houdini box"... A 100 mw green projector (TTL only) that shocked the living shit out of me, not once but TWICE, when I reached inside to remove and reconnect the ilda cable. Oh, and it was running off an Alphalite back then.

So no worries dude. Bring what you've got and we'll have some fun. Period!

    Hey Doug -

My rig at SELEM was my optical board with lasers and amps bolted directly to a shelf on a speaker stand - with the power supplies hanging underneath it by rubber bands!!

The "Jolly Green" experiment, in it's current crazy state, consists of the 1W laser and mirrors mounted to a piece of Lowe's laminated shelving with sheet metal screws, with everything else mounted with double-sided tape and cable ties...

Whatever you have, will work fine!!

We'll chat prior concerning hauling the gear - my schedule is pretty tight that week as well, and with my flight booked on Allegiant, there's no ticket refund if I cancel and opt for a road trip instead!!
I'll probably stick with the original plans.

    More to follow...

Love the old-school pics, Aaron. We all remember those days!

Update: Looks like Patrick Murphy will be able to attend, and if he does, he's got a couple short presentations (15min each) to share with us. One is on lasers and aircraft, and the other has to do with audience scanning.

Still waiting for final word from a few other guests. Turns out there is a large laser trade show in Reno Nevada the next day, so that is making it difficult for people in the industry to attend. But there's still hope...

I haven't heard any more feedback about the dinner party, so if no one objects, I'm going to get in touch with Angelo's and see if they have a problem with 15 laser geeks crashing the place on Friday night!

If not there is a place across the river I have been wanting to try. the old Dead River Vic's.

I have a small presentation request. Could we have a discussion on the various safety devices needed to be installed in a projector for a varience? This is what you need, and this is how it looks, and these are the components to buy... You know what I mean.

    ***NEWS FLASH***
I just got a package in the mail, from China. Looks like it made it there and back... without being opened. At least it returned though. It has been over 3 months... Need to recheck that address I sent it to.
