Is that shutter "legal" for what we want to use it for? I just found the one I have.![]()
for that price i would have two please!![]()
I can't see why not, it's spring return. I'm telling ya,,, that would fit nicely in your Kvant.
I called Daco this AM and inquired about purchasing some shutters from them. They do not have distributors and every job is a custom order for them based on winding impedance, voltage, bearing life, flag position and type. However, it looks like I will be pulling off a deal with them in some form. I will keep everyone posted and we should be able to put together a group buy sometime today or tomorrow.

I've got one of those shutters in my projector. They're really nice little units and pretty quick due to the return spring. I bought a few quite some time ago and tried to find out where they were from but had no luck. It's nice to see you've finally tracked them down. I'm sure these will be useful for lots of people.
Cheers

I have had one sitting in my Pile-o-junk for a while but did not think it was robust enough for what we need.![]()
Now I need a circuit to drive it...

12V actually, You can't run them off of the shutter signal anyway so you'll need to build a driver out of a TIP120.
They are nice aren't they.
Well, I have offered to build you one,,,, Three Times! If you want I can slap one together for you free of charge.
