My kits are what they are...kits.
Yes I too much know how difficult and time consuming it is... If your kit was available before I began the build of my module, I think I would had bought yours allready made
And your kit is correctly priced, the most expensive parts would be the four 642nm diodes!

BTW, I just saw the slide possibility of the diode's mount, that's a great idea which would greatly simplify the alignment of the beams!!

For those who want to see a quad module in action, you can look here while waiting for own pictures, it's a similar setup : http://www.photonlexicon.com/forums/...ead.php?t=7870

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

I do not have one populated running. Mechanically its all there, you are only limited by your ability to press the diodes in correctly and to rotate the polarization to the correct orientation, and tighten the diodes in the mounts parallel to the surface of base plate, after that you will only need minimal adjustment in the small adjustable mounts. Chad predicts a degree or two of adjustment which should be enough. If I had the diodes and the knowledge to run 4 with a flexmod (which I have never used) I would show it with light.

I will be working on an alignment procedure to include with modules.

    Question

Could you combine 2x405s, 2x640s, and 4x 660s with an Octo setup? You'd need a nice filter to add that to cyan for white light... but it would be an awesome beam path.

my time is pretty limited right now, but i'll take some photos when i get mine up and running. you're welcome to use them on your site, if you wish.

flexmods are pretty easy to use, but soldering them is right at the edge of my visual acuity. i used them in my rgv lumia projector (there are some photos in my profile album)

yes, would you like to order one?

My standard OCTOMOM setup is a scraper knife edge type, but as you explain it it could be done as you requested it.

That is very similar to my Hanna Montana Projector that I would like to build for myself someday.

    Lightbulb

I am kinda restricted from ordering aything for a while; just a thought I wanted to toss out there.

Another one is I have been thinking about the way knife edging is done. Would it be better to knife edge verticle beams the was everyone is currently, and knife edge horizontal beams with one on top of the other... V=side by side; H=stacked. It would make a # shaped beam instead of ++... correct?
