Default RGB Laser System - any good or bad experiences?

Does anyone know the projectors made by RGB Laser System ?

I know they make very nice projectors, all the optic compartments are sealed and cooling is mostly done from big heatsinks mounted outside so no dust can come in.
    Sometimes they even use watercooling.

I have two modules built by them (a older red 635nm with relative nice beam!) and a refurbished blue 510mW module. The driver looks a bit old fashioned and gets warm, but then again in their projectors that's all taken care of efficiently. That i want to be stubborn and use those in my own projector is my fault ;-)

Also RGB Lasersystems has very nice modules producing around 2W Whitelight.
Very cool. These guys know how to built quality projectors (i think the projector around this 2W whitelight module was designed by world famous laserist Hugo Bunk from the Netherlands).
    I didn't fail !
I just found out 10,000 ways that didn't work.

Yes, they make one of the best RGB lasers available.

the size of 2W and 4W RGB modules is just unbelievable

Most RGB's you see on the "bigger" events like Sensation, Awakenings, etc etc. are RGB lasersystems lasers as Hugo uses the RGB modules in his projectors.

We HIGHLY recommend them... Especially like the 'external-tuneability' of each colors' power-level, to fine-tune the color bal, especially when doing such 'demanding' work like rasters or 'gradients' - or 'greys' (shades of white) - it is really helpful to be able to tweak those, in-conjunction-with Pango palletes / other software-side controls..

The other facet that makes these a solid win, are the externally-accessible convergence adjusters - makes on-site convergence a snap - not like the Arctos, et al, where you 'get what you get', and it changes with temp-issues - I don't care what ANYone says to the contrary - they can and DO 'drift', it is only a question of how much, and how critical it will be for your particular show (ie: aerials / beams: not-so critical; Client's color-mixed (yellow, orange, magenta, cyan, etc) logo: CRITICAL... - RGB's design let's you 'fix' that, even 'mid-show'...

Two-thumbs up from us... Can't WAIT for the 8W, and I hope they, someday, incorporate OPSLs - even if it means a bigger 'box'...

Any of you Euro-kats had experience with Tarm's units? They offer up to a 12W WL, all-OPSL box - with machita and lumia positions - anyone out there know of anyone that has / uses thier units? (not to 'change the channel', sorry... )

    peace...

I buyed one of their 1W 445nm module last year, it is very nice! I particularly love the design and build quality of both driver and laser head.

dsli_jon : your pictures of the projections shows really amazing colors!!! I think it's your 2W RGB which projects that? I rarely saw a perfect image like that, especially the Nasa one

    Thumbs up

Look like Pretty small units, but the controllability looks amazing for such a small box, looking at DSLI's pics, inverts & flip (good for rear projection) on the galvos, intensity on each color line, and seems like position control on X and Y as well, cant really tell, maybe Jon can say... Looks like a very nice build!

Hello everyone...sorry for the late reply but I have been busy recently

Thank you all for all the nice posts

I am getting really interested in their compact8 projector. It seems really powerful and still really small size

I will send them a request next week and will see what they can offer

    Keep you posted

Just curious, where are you located? (country) I ask, cause if here in the US, you will likely get redirected to the dealer, here, who also Certifies these for use in the US, anyway... if outside the US, well, I guess you're free to find out pricing, etc... We'll be keenly awaiting your reply...

    ciao..
