If you have Samsung DLP from 2-3 years ago and if it developed picture like this

Don't throw it out or pay someone to fix it. Samsung silently announced a quiet recall. (Defective DLP unit) They will fix it for free no mater if warranty expires or not. So if you pass by a DLP Samsung in a garbage! You just found a good free HDTV.

Aw man, I saw one of those by the road a year ago.. Figgured it was a crt based...

CRT has a longer back and heavy as !@#$. DLP can be lifted no problem. And semi-recall was issued in the end of December 09 and full recall in Jan 2010. Year ago it would be useless. It would cost ~500$ to fix it.

Besides OLD projection CRT or DLP is a good source for HUGE front coated good quality mirror!
