1 ILDA input, 10 ILDA output

Ok, so I have a concern about a project and I can't come up with a good solution. Here's the issue, I'm working on a box (actually, it's still just in my head and on paper at the moment) that will replicate a single ILDA input to 10 buffered outputs. The problem that I see, is that you are now placing 10 projectors on one common ground. Wouldn't be a problem in a perfect world, but the more I think about it, the more I think the grounds need to be isolated somehow. And I don't see opto isolators working into this equation in any way. Thoughts?

Aaron, if you'll remember, two side by side projectors at FLEM, plugged into different outlets, had a chassis potential of around 90VAC. A couple folks got a good zap!

would it still be a problem if only the ILDA pin25 is connected to the signal ground inside the projector, and not the AC ground?

Yes and Yes... I think the FLEM venue just had a really bad wiring problem. I was it's first victim.

I have the technology to do this, I just need to check with my sometimes partner(s) before I make it public domain. Odds are its NO. If it is a one off built specifically for FLEM/SELEM, I can probably release a drawing for building one and a spare.

Something like this for single ended (or impedance balanced) outputs?

Where the input is differential the 'input 25' connection should go to the antiphase input of the pair instead and the antiphase output should be connected to output 25 via a resistor equal to the build out resistor driving the in phase line.

This wont survive 90 volts of screwup but should deal with more normal common mode ranges.
