    Sounds like crappy programming.

I would complain to the manufacturer.

It should be able to read nearly any format.
if not I really recommend getting an other one, because the constant format conversion is off course not practical...

    I checked the product information:

"Additionally you can create your own designs via ILDA software and load them onto the laser via the SD card (software available separately)."

Does it have it's own software.. it doesn't say which one maybe it uses it's own deformed ilda .

I really really have no clue what is going on I'm afraid.

Really call them right away and complain, you paid for it you know.

I will definitely be calling them.

Out of the Version 0 pack you uploaded, the Gigi D'Agostino file worked for some reason, yet none of the others did...

I think the SD card reader is not build for reading large ilda files.
It fails or can't buffer it in.
The size of the ilda might be too big for it too so It cannot read them out thus not recognize.

I think the so called ilda support is only for very small ilda frames which gives you the ability to controll the use of them over DMX, not for actually displaying shows.
It could be that... else Im sorry I can't help you any further

Many thanks for your help. The laser does use DMX.

Funny how Gigi is 27mb and will play though.

Indead, and thats the weird thing.
I don't think you can contact support on christmass but I recommend you do it as soon as possible.
    The earlier the better.

After trying all sorts of techniques and specific sequences of actions, I still cannot get it to work.
The only thing I have discovered is that when it cannot read the ILD file properly the Laser's screen reads "System [initialising], please wait".

Does it fail with only 1 ilda on the SD?

if yes you should just wait till tomorrow and contact the manufacturer / resource directly... There's nothing I can think of fixing that problem

    What do you mean?

I have tried 2 SD cards, both with a Version 0, 1 and 4.5 ILD file on, and none work properly.

Masterpj, are there any other versions of an ILD file I could try? The laser only came out a few months ago so I am thinking it could have one of the latest ILDA readers?

    Thanks.

PS. I have contacted the company ProLight, they are now contacting their manufacturer about what it should play etc.
