SoCaLEM 2011 Sign-Up Thread

If there's any nooblet out there that deserves to go, it's him. He's willing to learn, he has more than two brain cells (!), and he's a level-headed, sensible person. He deserves this chance.

I respectfully disagree. I am no such pointer whore. My budget simply happens to fit pointers - though I believe I will have more gas lasers than pointers later this evening. Wait.. that makes me a low budget -- uh,... right. I'll leave it at that.

I also have to respectfully disagree about me having more than two whole brain cells. I blame the tritium for killing off half of one. Speaking about tritium, I should have a few vials left over so if anyone wants to check one out if I make it at the LEM - I'll give out a couple

I think the hate towards pointer fans is a little undeserved in the first place. Most people on CPF respect their lasers and are not stupid enough to shine them near anyones face or a plane or whatever.

Umm, sorry to be a 'ThreadNazi', but *please* have these 'chit-chats' / discussions in the other thread.... http://www.photonlexicon.com/forums/...lem-2011/page5 I am sure Craig's a great guy, and many LPF / CPF peeps are not idiots, blah, blah, blah - but we really need to keep this thread as 'focused' on Sign-Ups / who's coming / not, etc, as-possible, cause when there starts being too much 'chit-chat' / other stuff / etc, then people start 'not paying-attention' to the thread / 'calls for action' / new-info, etc...

Starting tomorrow / Fri, we will begin to 'collect' the kitty on this. I would rather have the 'Definites' sent me a PM and I'll shoot you the Paypal addy, etc. I'm 'holding-off' as long as possible, so that we can try and get as many Definites as we can, and, thus *hopefully* get this down below $75. each (IF enough peeps want the LEM T-s, then that will be tacked-onto the LEM buy-in... TBD...)

At this point, it is looking like we will have to do Fri / Sat at Metro, and Sun at VNYs - UNLESS we get 18 paid-definites, then we can go for Sun at the Metro (which, I think will be a much better experience for all...) IF we somehow got EVERYONE on the 'pendings', converted to Definites by this Fri, then we can start looking at lowering the overall cost below $75. - but, most-likely, not gonna happen...

Excellent! That does-it, I am *definitely* gonna go thru the extra-effort to drag-out the Laserium systems and run hose / 1 1/2" 3Ø feeder for you guys! This is gonna be one helluva party! I'm 'stoked'!

Hah! - maybe that should be the 'tagline' for the LEM T's, (instead of 'Play by Day...') - "SoCaLEM 2011: Broke but Stoked!"
