Default ctronics People - Help (none laser related)

so ive managed to kill this board by putting 24v into it when its only suppose to be 12v.

    http://www.diycnc.co.uk/spindleV3.pdf

clutching at straws really but from looking at the pics etc... anyone got any clues on how to fix it?

i cannot use my cnc without it and the guy at diycnc is not responding, im mega mega keen to get the cnc back up and running. there is a maplin 5 mins from work so could go on the way home if its fixable

grrr... not sure what happened to the thread title

    any update from me

from looking at the tracks on the board see below, 12v goes in here and it looks like the tracks go straight to the il1212s

seems these are rated for just over 12v

is that likely the only fault?

I would say yes , i expect the dc-dc converter took all the shock
Done a simalar thing myself before and everything the other side of is was fine
If you had a +-12v supply you could remove the converter and jury rig that board into working
Or just wait for the right replacement to come
When God said “Let there be light” he surely must have meant perfectly coherent light.

Did you see smoke coming out of it ?
As you might know Andy, all electronics work on magic smoke.
If all the smoke is gone, the part dies ;-)
    I didn't fail !
I just found out 10,000 ways that didn't work.

I knew it... *That's* the reason he fled the country suddenly. Rumour has it he's currently seeking asylum on a Carribean island
