    Default Laser Screen

I have a laser screen for sale. It is the type that the laser is behind the screen and the show is viewed from the front, it is in a 9" x 11" x 18.5' box with motorized raising and lowering. There is a trap door that opens when the screen is lowered and closes when the screen is rolled up all the way. I am told it is in like new condition, it was used one summer, once per night for 20 minutes, from mid May to mid Sept. I am located in Michigan in the USA. If anyone is interested in it I will unroll it to check and make sure it is in like new shape, and see exactly how big it is. I would guess it is around 14 feet wide and 10 or 12 feet high. I have no idea how much it is worth and would appreciate any input here on a fair price. I might be willing to deliver it, or I could load if buyer wants it shipped farther then I am willing to deliver. I got this screen when I bought and old Spectra Physics 171 for a spare.

Is it a real laser scrim screen or just a rear projection screen for a regular LDC projector?

It is a heavy gray fabric, somewhat transparent, I was told the unit cost $22,500 when new, but I can not confirm that. I googled scrim and it says it is a fine netting, this is solid, no laser or air gets through it. I hope that helps.

All though I have never looked at it, I seen the old screen it replaced 100's of times. Maybe I should open it and look.

The case with the trap door and motors is older than the screen inside I think, the case could be much older but in great shape and the screen inside is basically new. And the price I was told they paid for it may or may not have included installation.

I did open it and look inside, it looks and feels like a heavy plastic cloth, I would not call it a netting.

Sounds like standard RP-vinyl... Even if 'new', depending on how it has been stored (ie: if in really hot-conditions / outdoors in humid-summer, etc) and for how-long, you may find the vinyl has 'jellied', and will stick to itself.. best to (for sure) roll it out / check it out, before attempting to sell... just a friendly-suggestion..

How 'long' is the actual roller, and what is the 'diameter' of the roller, itself? (if in a 9" deep box, and 18' 6" long, usually the motor is 'inline', so I will guesstimate the roller is about 4-6" dia. x
    18' L...)
    lemme know, thanks..
