    Default Laser School

    Laser School:

A two day course with syllabus and test.

Two gentleman, both with decades of experience, both ILDA LSOs, teach you the hard core reality of doing laser shows professionally. One is a professional educator, and field service engineer, the other makes his living with smoke and mirrors. Both us of learned the art by attending a similar school, in 1995, and we feel its time to bring back the tradition.

Setup and Takedown in a actual venue, with both classroom and hands on experience. Projector alignment, scanner tuning, obtaining clean power, musicality, audience handling, setup/takedown safety, contracts, CDRH, and dealing with the venue to be covered.

Not a LEM, but a learning experience. Both of us make money with lasers, and we can put you through Bootcamp.

Date to be announced based on interest, location to be Cleveland, Ohio or Phoenix, Arizona. 300$ per person, Minimum class size of ten.

PM me if interested as well as post.

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

In case it isn't obvious to some, does attending this workshop result in some kind of applicable accreditation?

One "attaboy", as it would take a full year to achieve any ILDA recognition of such a class, ie act of the Board plus due process. Major changes to ILDA activities take a year due to the governing corporate charter.
We'll of course provide you with a letter stating you attended, which is the best we can do.

PM sent. This would be really cool, although I'd prefer Cleveland.

Anything we should bring aside from a notebook, pens, and the will to learn? I am all in pending scheduling.

How much bleed-over would this have to the LSO course? I neglected taking it just due to not knowing what it was, and figuring I wouldn't touch much in the realm of projectors.

Is this something a non-projectorist could benefit from?

Only in regards to obtaining power and water for large lasers. Audience scanning calculation will be mentioned for flat scans. The ILDA course is more appropriate for overall laser safety.
Audience scanning would add a full two days and much more cost to the course.

Well I would like to know how Mario Master rigs his 3, 230V ions on regular 110V single phase. Though I'm not $300 and a plane flight interested.

Guess I will have to pass, as projectors aren't interesting enough for me to justify the flight. Though the one-on-ones on the side would be a nice though, can't justify it.
