Just trying to revive this old thread.

This picture was at a dutch gig I was at (I think they call it a rave in your countries...). Anyways this picture was made with only 1 laser that was programmed to hit all those discoballs. The circle you see with the logo (euphoria is the name of the party) is surrounded by discoballs.

It was a hell of an effect

It doesn't use drivers. No support is required. You just run DVI-D into it and it splits it into three pieces. Works fine!
