The 7603 uses plug-ins. It has room for 3. I have one time based and two voltage plug-ins. It's nice because I can have up to 4 traces at once. There is a mainframe 7603 that is supposed to be rackmounted. Is that what you were asking? I have the normal type that you can haul around.
Keeperz, ext blanking is probably same as laser blanking. It lets you use an external signal to vary the trace intensity. Not sure what CH1 out is for.

I had one step up from that 7603 where I used to work. loved that 1 ghz storage scope.
Steve
external blanking can turn off the beam ( ie +5 to blank)
That is your blaming and intensity control for the scope when using laserboy etc ie its Z in, brightness. Its inverted.
and channel 1 out is a normalized and amplified +/- 15 V (check the manual on that, may be hotter) output of whatever is on channel 1 , for chart recorders, data aquisition etc, Its a lab thing, ignore it.
Nice, looks like a good buy![]()
