Absolutely. However, if the two wavelengths are far apart your efficiency will suffer. But since 640 and 660 are very close, the losses are minimal.

You'd probably be better off with a dichro even so, but if you have a spare PBS cube laying around, why not use it, eh?

It's because they were originally intended to be used with a dual Maxyzmodule, which of course has already used a PBS to combine the two opposite (s & p) polarised beams. This means that you cannot use another PBS to add the 640, therefore the only option in this case is to use the Semrock custom dichro.

However, if you are just using a single 660nm laser with p polarisation, this can be combined with a single 640nm laser with s polarisation using a broadband coated PBS.

    Cheers

beautiful though! i liked it with just the 671 in it at robs house. looks AMAZING with the 640 in there too!! excellent job!!

As Adam mentioned above you can combine two different wavelengths with a PBS cube but it is costing me a bit of power from both Reds but the combined Red beam I am getting is giving me an almost perfect balanced white, well to me anyway.

Below is a photo of the new PBS mount fitted last night.

Hey Rob. What line of work are you up to on Sat night? Laser show by any chance? Do you need another RGB?
