I bought one and it came in two days across country. Power supply came brand new in box and HeNe looks like it has never been used. Not a scratch on it.

Thanks for the find. I ended up paying $50 a little more then I wanted to but being new I think it was a good deal.

My intentions are to turn it into a conversation peice lamp similar to a lamp jayrob made when venturing into LP forums

This might be useful for someone (daedal?).. the photodiode comes mounted in a sensor of sorts (could insert a block of white palastic in the aperture as a diffuser) and with a BNC connector ready to hook to a scope.
