£20.89 plus postage for a new Ophir thermocouple block?! - Got to be worth a punt at that price! Order placed.

    Sounds really dodgy...
Copied the listing verbatim from this:
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ophir-OEM-Br...#ht_502wt_1003

They listed 100. 95 left... Someone's buying them though!

    I sent them this question:

How ligitamate is this? You have copied this sellers listing, including his measurement statements:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ophir-OEM-Br...#ht_502wt_1003

Have you made any measurements yourself? What is the model number of these Ophir heads? What are their serial numbers? Where do these heads come from? No offense, but I just would like to know these facts before I order from someone with 0 feedback. And especially, what does the coating look like. Clean, like new?

Listing now cancelled. Paypal refund requested. Note to self : if it looks too good to be true, it probably is...

3 emails sent to seller in last 24 hours, no response so far...Paypal cancellation seems to have gone through OK though as payment was 'unclaimed'. Having now seen the site the listing was copied from, I'd be very surprised if anyone hears anything from the seller...

I will leave my payment in place as he did finally claim the money and he marked it shipped. I also used my Amex as a payment source so I have multiple layers of protection. I will give it 20 days to see if it shows up. He did not respond to my queries either. Most likely a scam but only time will tell.
