If I come --up to about 80% chance now, I'll most likely get off work fri. afternoon and drive. Can I park at the place and y'all wake me up Sat morning? I'll get a room for sat night and drive home Sunday. Well, unless someone would split a room w/ me Fri and Sat night...

Arrive Orlando airport 4:30 pm Friday. Pick up rental car. Drive to Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Tavares.

Have 2 queen size beds at holiday inn express.

Leave Orlando airport Monday 11:30 A.M.

Will bring 12" laptop, pangolin QM2000.net, lots of DIY handheld lasers (RED,Green,Violet).

Will provide transportationn while I am there. Also have empty queen size bed and floor. First come first served.

Hey, Doug - I appreciate the offer, but that's a big chunk of extra driving on an already LONG trip (which is why I opted to fly on this one - too many hours in the seat!!). I'll go ahead and look into the shipping and see how that pans out.

There should be plenty of couch & floor space in the room I snagged, so if Docjohn's offer doesn't pan out, let me know!!

Hope you can make it - it will be cool to see another Tennessee boy there, y'all!!

Hey Doug... Just a thought: Maybe you and Randy could meet up 1/2 way between your two cities and he could give you his projector in advance. Say, maybe Wednesday that week? Then you could leave on Friday and drive straight through.

I know an hour doesn't sound like much, but you're looking at, what, a ten-hour drive? That's going to be harsh, and we'd like to have you present for the dinner party if at all possible!

Anyway, see if you and Randy can work something out... Would really be great to see both the Jolly Green projector *and* Randy's RGB rig at this event. (His RGB rig isn't all that large, but it's heavy as hell - to expensive to ship.)

Also, even if you don't have your own projector finished, bring whatever bits you've got. No telling what sort of assistance you might find at one of these events! At the very least, it will be more toys to admire...

Damn - this event is really shaping up nicely. I gotta admit, I'm getting really psyched for this one!

I'm up for helping out however I can. My weekday schedule is pretty tight. Wed. would be the only afternoon I could do it. It's Randy's choice.

I will bring what I have. Right now it's double sided taped to a piece of wood with just 250mw of 532 and a fb3 and laptop. Depending on how much time i have, it may be RGY or even RGV by that time. I know for sure i don't have time or money for a case for it all right now. It'll either come just on the optical board, or on a piece of wood.

Friday night diner--Depending on what time I leave work...doubtful though. I'll try my best for late Friday night drinking, though.
