It is not a tradition but a bad behavior.

I posted something in a dead thread where many people were looking for a solution after the 4ch driver desaster.
    this thread is still alive.

There are many people who think like me and I try to help them and me. Thats the reason why I posted in badpip's thread.
What is your reason to post your stuff here?

One of the reasons that badpip drivers are gone is because of the low price. The couldn,t be manufactured for that price that Badpip sold them for so he did everything by hand. He couldn,t keep up with the (succes)sales next to his schoolwork and that cost him his bussiness. Some people are still angry with him because he still owes them money. He should payback all the money that he recieved but it doesn,t make him an asshole or a bad person. He just made mistakes that,s all.

Its great to see that lasertack and others that have the skills in electronics step up the plate to design drivers. The availabillity depends also on the price because if the price will be to low then after a while they will disapear again because its not worth the effort.

So take your pick, higher priced but available for a long time or a cheap one that disappears after a year.
    Not true.
I tried to help Badpip by sending him to a professional PCB company here in the Netherlands who where willing to help him out, i've made the contacts for him so they knew he was going to contact him.
But unfortunately Thomas was impatient or had his own ideas which made him decide he didn't want to wait for a good offer and moved on.
I'm not saying Thomas is a bad person but his way of communication is a problem, people tried to contact him several times by mail and didn't get any answer (me include).
I'm not complaining, i'll order my drivers which i need somewhere else, to bad for Thomas he could have a nice business of them and i think he still can.
It has nothing to do with the price for his PCB's, i' sure that when he explained the increase of the price people would still buy these drivers because they where good, and something which is good you will buy because most of us want good stuff.

The following suggestion would be a nice one to save diodes.

Do you mean that the driver cuts the LD current when the set LD temp. exceeds?
