Thanks for getting the feed up Dan. First chance i've had to look in since Friday as I spent yesterday in bed with migraine.

very disappointed with the turn out this time, hope that doesn't happen to often as the meets may end.

as ever thanks to jim for sorting out the hall etc.. he may be a grumpy bugger but he does a great job. hopefully less work for you this time jim with all the rubbish being sorted

look forward to the next one

Another great meet! Had a fun time, a few fun rants and a good photon fix
Ta big Jim for arranging yet another great meet
If in doubt... Give it a clout?

Good to see Rob again and great to meet the rest of you; shame there weren't a few more.
My car was definitely a bit lower on the way home, the tyres rubbed the wheelarches on every roundabout! Thought getting the trafo out of the car would be a ball ache, but it was surprisingly easy. I'm happy that my 568nm had a few admirers; FYI, Dan's pics of the three lasers are a (poorly) NEC HeNe, doing about 20mW, a B&W Tek 473nm DPSS and an Omnichrome 43 Krypton swith single line 568nm optics.

Loved Simon's description of his night's sleep this morning - 'I spent the night dreaming that I was fixing a wind tunnel with knackered bearings, but every time I put a new set of bearings in it, it still carried on making the same noise'

    Well hell.

    Finally home..

Thanks for the brief banter and cuddles, needed them! Nothing like a man hug.. Stanwax gives the best ones.. it's all in the way he holds you. erm. moving on..

Loved Martin's Trio - esp the Omnichrome.. yum. coherent sex. I'm sure Rob said my reaction would be of a bodily function primarily used to reproduce. Well.. I didn't get *that* excited but yeah.. man that colour. love it.

Incidentally Martin I didn't introduce myself.. cos I'm a knob like that.. sorry! I'm Nigel - I was the bloke who turned up Sunday about 2pm.. with the Strange antipodean accent (New Zealand thanks.. definitely not Australia.. ) it's been mixed with 7 years living in Brighton and 8 years in a small town outside of Edinburgh.. I think I have a anglicised accent, due to not wanting to stick out.. (Although in NZ where they ask me which part of England I'm from)

Anyway I was the guy who turned up and started hurling abuse at everyone.. Does that narrow it down ? Probably not!

So yea! sorry about that mate! I did wave bye to you when you left so at least I managed a goodbye over the carpark!

Took me 6 and 1/2 hours to get home.. stopped to pee 4 times but pretty much did it solid. this driving lark seems to be getting easier!

Cheers all, and till next time with actual kit (and the couple (at least) of years promised LS, or maybe 2? )

    Och aye,

    Scottish Dubstep forever!
