That link refers to a pyramid scheme from 3 years ago and was not a raffle.
Raffles are perfectly legal in the UK and the one conducted at UKLEM2 by Lasermad was conducted openly and I for one had no qualms about the way it was run nor the way it was drawn.
If Lasermad had won then fair play to him.
His money was as good as anyone else who paid for a ticket and the method of drawing was open and fair.
An element of trust is required and I would have thought that this should be more prevalent in our little "closed" community than in an openly public raffle.
If/when another raffle takes place at a UKLEM then I'd have no hesitation in entering again (and maybe even winning) so let's not all get morose and downbeat about raffles.
