Some question about Live Pro

There is a cue called ZOOM, when you map this to a drumpad note on your navation you can zoom on a tap on your drumpad.

My LivePro demo works fine with my QM.NET not connected.

I use it to play/train offline...

With LivePRO the biggest limitation is your own creativity.

There are also CUE's called BEAT and it wil also do the thing you mentioned in the previous post.

There really isn't much operational difference between LivePRO for the FB3, and LivePRO for the QM2000, so if you get the chance to "play" with one version, you'll pretty much know how to run the other version, as well!

The biggest difference is the QM2000 version supports DMX OUT, which is not available on the FB3 card (FB3 has DMX IN, only). Also, the FB3 version is a bit cheaper, but that's really about it!

Why?
I use a Novation remote zero, and I have "track active" button, with this I can sellect the track where you want so change the effect speeds to sync to the beat. With the slider I set the laser to the beat and active another track.

But with a mouse only it is a pain in the ass...

I have one too as well as track active toggle assigned to a button for each track. Does that help though, as the timer BPM is global, right?

Or did you mean to move the sliders for every track until it syncs up with the music? That's what I call a pain in the ass, because this takes a long time and it's hard to get a good sync (it usually starts drifting out of sync).

What I would really like to see is an easy way to set and change timer BPM multipliers/dividers, perhaps even for each track. You can set the global timer BPM multiplier to 2x or 4x via MIDI, but there are no dividers. More importantly, there's to my best knowledge no way to reset it to 1x either, meaning you have to restart LivePRO. I have mailed Bill about this, but he seems reluctant to implement either 1x or dividers.

we had some electronicly generated music at selem, and during the live pro demo it held the tap sync for at least 5 minutes, right on the money. The qm2000 must have a really good high resolution spare counter/timer on board. (well of course it does, it generates laser frames!)

I have the Behringer BCF2000, in fact I sold my Novation remote Zero to buy this instead. The Behringer works absolutely perfectly with LivePRO v4.50 build 1967 (which is the latest download from the Pangolin website).

The very best way to operate LivePRO is to get yourself an LCD touch screen monitor. The combination of the touch screen and the Behringer is awsome and the possibilities are almost endless, only being limited by your own technical skill (or to put another way, your knowledge of LivePRO and what it can do) and of course your imagination. It really is an extremely powerful program.

The tap sync holds up very well if done well. Moving sliders until you think you have sync does not however.

anyone wanna walk me through exactly how to beat match? i think it would really make me enjoy the capabilities of live pro a LOT more.

im kind of lost with it all.

It's pretty easy. First press play. Hit the timer BPM button in the top bar to activate that sync (looks like a clock). Make sure sync is turned on for the different speeds (image, effects, color cycles); it can be set with the buttons above the respective sliders.

Now, listen to the music and hit space on beat a few times. If you're unhappy with the sync, press backspace and try again. If you get a fairly good sync, but you find it drifts away after a while, just hit backspace on beat once to get it back on track.
