A mate of mine and dave has had funktion1 for years, he got the first rig in Melbourne...

wierd dalek looking things, but fuck they sound clean.

they are pretty damn true as well when it comes to PA systems, i never really enjoyed playing live over his funktion 1, it never really hid my sloppy production/mixdowns

JBL + QSC is kind of a good combo. I'm more fond of Turbosound kit myself these days, with class D amps. Saves me a lot of back pains

    Cool

Our LEM's over here are far from professional audio events, but we use a pair of JBL JRX 125's and a pair of Ashley Powerfet amps (bridged mono, one for each cabinet) to get the job done.

Would love to be able to afford something lighter (these Ashley amps are heavy as hell!), but for a budget system, it sure rocks!

Is he going to get enough dispersion out of the Res4's, or is he planning on just running a mono stack?

Me personally, I like Dynacord Alpha, not many people use them around here though. I think maybe a few clubs in the US

...and when you're happy with it, add 6 ServoDrive BassTech7s driven by some QSCs to the bottom and call it good.

Anyone had a play with that 4 channel recording of a recent shuttle launch? Good test for serious subs (and those BT7s would count).

I am running a modest pile of Nexo Alpha E (20 boxes) off Vortex 6. It really needs some S2s to fill in the bottom octave if used for electronic music, but there is not much from real instruments that is musically useful down there (and it would require more amps and processing), so I have not bothered.

This in a roughly 500 seater.

    Regards, Dan.

Where can I find this file? (Tried a brief Google search, so far.)

I'll totally put it in my Droid (yes, I was at Verizon at 7am) and plug it in next time I'm at an event and they're testing the audio.
