So you are telling me that an order was placed without a dedicated GB thread? Gee....that's just swell.

If andy invested in 80 diodes i,m pretty sure that he know how to collimate the red 638,s
He also offered two different lens options as a kit to collimate the reds. But here comes the funny part: When he first had a sample of the red diodes (3 months ago) he urgently wanted to have a good quality lens with a Prism pair to test them on the 638,s. Mccarrot had sent me a set and i had one of Mccarrots red lenses so with his permission i almost ran to the post office.Andy promised me when he knew how to collimate the new 638,s i was the first one to know.
Guess what........ I,m still waiting for his answer.
Nice don,t you think
Also when Lasercingi can get 50 diodes for 180 dollar he can help a lot of members to the 638,s
I have more then 30 lenses collected over the past few months with different Fl,s and NA,s so that i can test them on future diodes. I just need one 638 to test them and i can post this on PL.
In my opinion most of the members are just hobbyists who are helping eachother out but there are also some members just see a groupbuy as a bussines oppertunity.
Lasercingi can get the diodes for 180 dollar

Then imagine what the price will be when ordering 100 or even two hundered. If you give all the members 10 dollar discount and the price will drop 30 dollars per diode when ordering 200 hundred then the extra profit will be 200x20 dollar =4000 dollar. Not bad concidering you only have to order it and send it to the buyers
Maybe i got it totally wrong but its quit curieus that someon orders a little less then 100 diodes when they are not suitable![]()

Diodes for $180 or less???? Where can I order 2 or 3 units? It REALLY would be nice to get something going here with these......and get some diodes to people.

Ask Lasercingi If he wants start another groupbuy. He wants to have 10 diodes him self but i can imagine that they are included in the order from Andy.
Everyone wants the 638,s. Imagine when someone has the knowledge to collimate the diode and can deliver complete modules
He will be the first one on the market. Don,t waste any time guys and try to get the diodes somewhere else. When ordering a little less the 100 thats in my opinion the signal that they can be used for projectors![]()

You got our attention for sure.
Where do we find this GB for the BIG RED diodes at $180 ?????
HMike
Guys,
Can i remind you that this GB is open to anyone who wants to place the order, we have lots of interest here and many asking for some test diodes.
If you want some before the tests are done its not a problem, we just need 100 units to keep the price down. Now we have like 5 people who want to order test units and that is clearly not enough.
As i keep writing to people, I don't want to take money from anyone until the tests are complete. It is not fair to anyone to pay for something then wait for ages to get the diodes or lenses.
I am still waiting for the mount that will complete the tests.
@Edison
Whats funny about that, no clear answer exists yet.
The idea was to try with the prisms and that way does not work with this diode unless you want a huge beam.
If more people have testunits the faster we find out how to collimate the beam from these diodes. I have learned that with more people you get more different thoughts, aproches and ideas. So let the members that are willing to order a testunit help you with finding out how to collimate these diodes. Unless you want to be the only one who has the optic solution![]()
Send both Lasercingi and Andy97 a PM and ask if he willing/can deliver a sample.
If more people have a diode for testing then the faster we have the optic solution to collimate this baby
